Not only joy of singing and discovering different musical styles connects singers of the Prague Mixed Choir, its choirmasters and other musicians, who provide an accompaniment of the choir.
The Prague Mixed Choir under the baton of experienced conductors counts among the elite non-professional choirs of the Czech Republic. Its good reputation is confirmed by successes on international field whether we speak of competition trophies or numerous foreign concert tours around Europe, USA, Japan or Israel. We specialise on contemporary classical music of the 20th and 21st century, but our choirmasters often fall for “older” composers (f.i. Antonín Dvořák). They are not interested in their crucial musical works only, they intentionally choose less famous works as well, and surprise audience all over the world. The repertoire of the Prague Mixed Choir is pretty wide. Besides the classical music mentioned before it includes also sacred music performed in many languages, and also Czech, Moravian and Slovak folk songs.
The Prague Mixed Choir sang already on many prestigious stages both in the Czech Republic and abroad. We can mention for instance Rudolfinum, Prague´s Municipal House, The Prague State Opera or The Spanish Hall of the Prague Castle. It cooperates with many prominent soloists and orchestras (The P r a g u e R a d i o S y m p h o n y O r c h e s t r a, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, The N o r t h C z e c h P h i l h a r m o n i c T e p l i c e, J a r o s l a v S v ě c e n ý and V l a d i m í r V á l e k).
